Yay Us!

They say every little girl dreams of having her perfect and unforgettable wedding day. I guess I was not one of them. It would be more accurate to say I was dreaming of setting up a perfect wedding. Not the one in that gorgeous white dress holding the beautiful bouquet marching down the aisle while swaying to the most romantic song. Rather that lady who goes back and forth without being noticed by everyone smoothly keeping things in order.

Yes we grew up to be Wedding Planners. Me, with my two other girl friends, Christinne and Ma.Lyn,figured this is what we want other than being full time Computer Engineers. There might be special classes, seminars or short courses to become one, but experience and passion are our only professors.Reading texts and memorizing flow of the event is not enough to get through the ceremony. You need to put it into action. As they say practice makes perfect but a wedding is not a practice and there is no room for error.

First Practice
Of course you can't just make someone else's on-the-day wedding a rehearsal. Well at least it can be someone you know who would allow you to perform experiments on their special day.We were careful. It took us a lot of meetings and planning. A lot of of research has been done to make sure that we were making the right decisions and process. Fortunately, it all went well.

A trusting friend
With no money for any promotion, word-of-mouth was our only friend.  A classmate of mine was proud enough of me to recommend me to her own sister. And she was our very first "legal" client.

Yay Us?!
From then on somehow we were able to build a quality standard for our name.Yay Us? Yes Yay Us, it was just an expression of glee whenever we achieve something awesome. And it kinda stuck with us. So why not make it an official name. We may not have patented it yet but someday we will. For now being the wedding blogger will do.
